Tour de France champion Ferrand-Prévot to race at historic Kigali 2025 Worlds

Tour de France winner Pauline Ferrand-Prévot has confirmed her participation at the Kigali 2025 UCI Road World Championships in Kigali, Rwanda, taking place from 21 to 28 September 2025.

In a statement shared with her followers, the French rider explained that while she had originally planned to skip the World Championships to recover, the circumstances of this season made her reconsider. With fewer races and less pressure compared to last year, she now feels ready to take on the challenge of the Worlds.

“I now feel ready to give the best of myself in a smart and thoughtful way. Racing alongside my French teammates, who are among the world’s elite, is an honor. Together, we will aim for the rainbow jersey,” she shared.

Ferrand-Prévot will lead a strong French women’s squad in Kigali. The Fédération Française de Cyclisme (FFC) has confirmed its selection for the event, which includes:

– Individual Time Trial (ITT): Cédrine Kerbaol, Juliette Labous

  • Mixed Team Time Trial Relay: Cédrine Kerbaol, Juliette Labous, Maëva Squiban (plus three elite men, to be announced)
  • Road Race: Léa Curinier, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, Cédrine Kerbaol, Juliette Labous, Marie Le Net, Évita Muzic, Maëva Squiban

Her participation adds further prestige to Kigali 2025, the first UCI Road World Championships ever to be hosted on the African continent. Fans across the globe will be watching closely as Ferrand-Prévot lines up in Rwanda, chasing another milestone in her already remarkable career.
